The First-Ever Ellë FA Kings Cup

We’re thrilled to announce the first-ever Ellë FA Kings Cup, a unique end of year competition inspired by the global Kings concept, now brought to life the Ellë way.

This event will showcase the creativity, skill, and competitive spirit of our players, while celebrating the successes of the 2025 season at Ellë Football Academy.

We invite all players and their families to join the fun!

Team Formation

Teams must be formed before the tournament begins.

Each team requires:

A team name
A uniform (all players in the same colour/style jersey, shorts, and socks)
Team size: 5 players (including 1 goalkeeper)
Each team must nominate a goalkeeper, who will participate in the 5v5 match, 3v3 and the 1v1 battles.

Competition Format

The Ellë FA Kings Tournament will feature three exciting game formats — all contributing to the final standings:

A) 3v3 (4 small goals)
B) X1 Battles
C) 5v5 (game with special cards)

A) 3v3 “Small Goals”

Four mini goals
Duration: 6 minutes
Field: 16 × 22 m

Rules:

- Throw-ins taken with the foot (pass or dribble)
- Mandatory substitutions between minutes 2 and 3
- Scoring system: Each team goal is worth 1 point, added to the team's duel score. So after the 3 matches, the final score is 10 to the green team and 8 to the blue team. The green team will earn 3 points on the table.
- Goals scored and goals conceded will also be used to calculate goal difference in the table.

B) X1 Battles

1v1 + goalkeeper (all players participate)
Duration: 4 duels × 1 minute each (total 4 minutes)
Final duel will be a 1-minute “goal to goal” goalkeeper vs goalkeeper game
Field: 20 × 30 m

Rules:

No corners
Dribble-in from the sidelines
Scoring system: Each team goal is worth 1 point, added to the team's duel score. So after the 3 matches, the final score is 10 to the green team and 8 to the blue team. The green team will earn 3 points on the table.
Goals scored and goals conceded will also be used to calculate goal difference in the table.

C) 5v5 Game + Special Cards

4 field players + 1 goalkeeper
Duration: 8 minutes (no halftime)
Field: 22 × 35 m

Rules:

Standard small-sided rules
Throw-ins by hand, corners by foot
Team captains may use one special card per match

Scoring system: Each team goal is worth 1 point, added to the team's duel score. So after the 3 matches, the final score is 10 to the green team and 8 to the blue team. The green team will earn 3 points on the table.
Goals scored and goals conceded will also be used to calculate goal difference in the table.

Before the 5v5 match begins, each captain selects one special card to use.

There are 5 different cards available as per below:

Double Goal = All goals count as 2 from the moment it’s played (valid for 1 minute only)
Shoot-out = The team receives 1 penalty shoot-out
Goalkeeper Penalty Kick = Your goalkeeper takes a penalty from 9m
Remove Player = Opponent removes one field player for 1 minutes
Star Player = Player selected in first goal is worth 2 points (valid until the player score the first goal)
Swap Score: A team may only use this card if they are losing by one goal difference maximum. This card also needs to be activated before the last minute of the match.

$300 per team ($60 per player)

Individual Registration Available

Players can express interest in participating even if they don’t have a team.

We will allocate individual players into teams based on availability, skill level, and age (subject to forming full teams of 5).
